Organic Prairie Vodka: A Review

prairie vodka 197x300 Organic Prairie Vodka: A ReviewTriple Gold Medal Winning Vodka for $15

By Matt Goldstein

The Organic Prairie Vodka is smooth but also has an excellent bite with a great vodka flavor.  Many people believe that the smoother the vodka the better.  I couldn’t disagree more.  Vodka needs to have a bite to really accentuate the taste.  And that’s exactly why Organic Prairie Vodka is a two time gold medal winner.  The bite matches the vodka flavor extremely well.  Whether on the rocks, or in a martini, the Prairie vodka stands on its own.  I prefer Prairie vodka over many premium vodkas on the market and for about $15 a bottle, it’s an excellent buy.

Prairie Vodka is crafted in Benson Minnesota and distilled 4 to 6 times.  Prairie is certified USDA Organic and certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union.  Prairie is made with USDA organic yellow #2 corn, and grown by the farmers who own the distillery.  Prairie won a gold medal at the 2008 Los Angeles Wine & Spirits competition and won 2 gold medals at the San Francisco world spirits competition.

Where can I find this vodka, I have called local Costco liquors and local liquor stores and nobody sells it. I have also called Wines and Spirits in PA but without any luck.

Do you know any specific liquors that have it? I appreciate your help.

You can definitely special order it online through PA Wine & Spirits but the price is about $8 more than normal.

  • I have been a Grey Goose fan for years. I am converted!!! Just as good (SO SMOOTH), made in the us, organic and less money–says it all!!!!!

Grey Goose is good, but it’s not that good. There are so many good vodka’s for $15, it’s pointless to throw away money.

Haven’t opened it yet, but I found a 1.75 liter bottle at Costco for about $15. If it’s as good as the reviews, it’s a real bargain.

Where can Prairie Vodka be found for $15 a bottle?

Here in PA, it might be cheaper than $15. I think I’ve seen it for $14.
