I would actually start with the Chamisul. It’s less expensive and in my opinion, better.

I had hoped to find a review of the Ty Ku soju here and of course I was not disappointed. I an also happy to see that the taste test proved good… with side notes that it gets better as you sip. Sounds like it might be a good introduction to soju for me. Thanks for the write up.

For most folks in the lower 48 this bar might be a tad bit hard to get to. However if you ever make it to Anchorage AK. this is a must. Where else can you sit on a keg, munch out on peanuts, and rock out to some good bands. The list of bands alone that have played here looks more like a concert hall list. I spent many a night in the late 70′s partying here when it was too cold out to do otherwise, and have skipped the dark of night in the summer time.Chilkoot Charlie’s ROCKs.
