  • Hello, just wanted to thank you for your post — you’ve inspired a whole post on my blog (www.thatlou.com). I found your article from Forest Collins of 52 Martinis, with whom I’m co-hosting a drinks treasure hunt at the Louvre. As a result of your post a perfect film which marries a classic bar scene with running through the Louvre is Godard’s 1964 Bande a Part.

    Anyway, thanks!

My favorite bar scene of all time has to be when Reggie Hammond, AKA Eddie, turns that honky-tonk bar upside down in 48 Hours. I think it trumps most of this shit.

Tim Rogers well said; dispointed my man Nicky and Ace didnt make the list in casino, when Ace asks the guy if this is his pen…. one lead thing leads to another and nicky stabs the guy in his neck and face about 1000 times… classic. “Didnt matter how big a guy might be, Nicky would take him on/ you beat nicky with fists he comes back with a bat/ you beat nicky with a bat he comes back with a knife, you beat nicky with knife he comes back with a gun, and you beat nicky with a gun, you better killm, because he’ll keep coming back until one of you is dead!

all in all though solid list Bean/ should have proably consulted with me on this one/ I mean I masterful with it

    Matt Goldstein Reply:

I have to agree with those 2 scenes. You can also use like 3-4 scenes from Scarface in the club.

Honestly, Goodfellas should be elevated at least over Indiana Jones. Furthermore, does the Billy Bats scene take precedent over the “You’re a funny guy” scene?, (The funny thing is I am supposed to christen his kid this weekend, yeah I’ll christen your kid, I charge $8 grand ya prick”)
